CALM Charity Cup Football – ENTER YOUR TEAMS NOW!

CALM Charity Cup Football…

On Sunday 20th October, CALM are taking over Westway Sports Centre in West London to host an epic 5-a-side football tournament, crowning the winning team champions of the inaugural CALM Charity Cup.

The competition is open to all players aged 16+, and is looking for 32 teams for the full competition. The event will be run in a similar format to the real World Cup (albeit slightly scaled down!), with groups stages before the thrilling knock out phase.  It costs £50 to enter a team (that's only a tenner each, folks!) with all profits from the event going straight to CALM to help fund our website, keep our helpline open and allow us to raise awareness of male suicide.  Play footie AND help save lives?  That's what we're talking about!

Hosting an event at Westway is an exciting opportunity for CALM, as the venue is part of a charitable trust dedicated to benefiting the local community, making it a perfect partner for us.

Behind the scenes, the organising of the event has been led by the Lan the Baron Foundation, in memory of Lanfranco Gaglione. Since his death the foundation has raised over £50k for CALM through sponsored runs, walks, gigs, concerts, cake sales, raffle sales and everything else in between. Their previous success with organising 2 football tournaments led them to create this exciting event which is destined to be a success.
