 Westway Sports Centre offers a unique environment for hosting memorable events

If you are interested in hiring a part of the Centre for a major event please email hdurose@westway.org.

We will look at all proposals but always strive to ensure minimum disruption to our programme of public sports activity and youth sports development. As a result we have to limit the number of events we can hold across each year, so if you have a date in mind, please get in touch. Major events on the scale of Stella McCartney’s A-List Extravaganza often have a six month planning timeframe at venue-level!

 London Panathlon Championships 2011

London Panathlon Championship was held at the Westway Sports Centre on the 17th June. The event was attended by athletes with severe learning difficulties and/or physical impairments, aged between 8 and 18 and also by Panathlon staff. The Panathlon Challenge is aimed at delivering sporting opportunities and “mini-paralympic” type competitions for young disabled Londoners.

Elle Style Awards 2008

Elle Style Awards on February 12th 2008 saw the glitterati of London Fashion Week visiting the Westway. Urban Caprice ran the show like Clockwork. Elle handed out the gongs and everyone from Kylie Minogue to Naomi Campbell attended with Alexa Chung handling presenting duties.

One of the Westway's cavernous spaces was transformed into bar and dining areas with full awards stage for the formal part of the evening including dinner. Then the partying continued after dinner with up to 900 guests gracing the huge 26,000 square foot plus hall, which normally houses 4 of the Centre's 12 tennis courts.

Stella McCartney's London Fashion Week show in 2007

In September 2007 Westway Sports Centre hosted Stella McCartney for the Adidas show where the designer launched her collection from Adidas at the climax of the September 07 London Fashion Week. The Stella McCartney show had also taken a radical approach to transforming the Centre with a similar space transformed into a range of areas including a crazy golf course with real turf! Guests were brought to the Centre in golf buggies along a tree-lined and flower decked tunnel.

Edgar Davids - Steet Soccer Tour 2010

Edgar Davids took his team of Street Legends on a tour of Europe and Africa to battle against the best local teams.

The undefeated Street Legends traveled to the Westway Sports Centre to take on the finest street soccer players the city had to offer.

Skate London 2011

Skate London hosted their European Championship on the 19th to 21st August at the Westway Sports Centre. This is the third time that this international event is held at the Westway Sports Centre.
