We offer learn to swim programmes for children and adults as well as swim technique development for the more advanced swimmer looking to improve

The Frutina Swim Centre is equipped with two flow pools. There is the standard which is 4.5m x 2.5m x 1m deep with one current and there is a dual size model featuring two currents. The current is adjustable and can therefore accommodate swimmers of all abilities. The centre is equipped with floor & ceiling mirrors so that the swimmer can observe themselves whilst swimming.

For those swimmers wishing to take their strokes to the next level the centre has the facilities to film and analyse you in action. Underwater cameras capture your technique which can be instantly replayed on the poolside monitor for analysis with the coach and burned to DVD for later reference.

The pool temperatures are a constant 31 degrees C. and the use of ionizing/oxidising purifiers helps minimise the amounts of chlorine needed. This combined with the centre’s hygiene code where all users wear caps and shower before swimming helps maintain good, clear water quality.

The Frutina Swim Centre’s operational hours run in conjunction with the Westway Sports Centre’s Opening & Closing times.

Monday – Friday 7.30am – 9.30pm
Saturdays 8.30am – 7.30pm
Sundays 9am – 9.30pm
