Apprentice Sports Coach
One year fixed term contract starting January 2013
Earn £95 per week
20 hours per week on the job practical learning plus 10 hours of tuition with Richmond College.

Aim of the Apprenticeship Scheme
The aim of the Westway Development Trust apprenticeship scheme is to enable individuals to learn skills specific to job roles within the community sports development team and gain experience of working with schools, play centres and local groups. Apprentices build their knowledge and skills in the work place, whilst at the same time gaining sports qualifications and making a contribution to the Trust’s work for the benefit of the community, at the Westway Sports Centre.
Purpose of the Job
As Apprentice Sports Coach, you will work within the Community Sports Development Team, delivering sports and fitness sessions at Westway Sports Centre, Portobello Green Fitness Club and in sports settings within the local community. You will gain experience of sports development, coaching, health & safety, customer service and the day to day operations of sports development projects.
