At the beginning of each new school year (September), minors attending the Westway Sports centre for a climbing session with their school or youth group will be required to bring along a new, signed parental consent form, regardless of whether we have received a consent form from them in the past.
This is in order to keep our records up to date and so that all details for children coming to the Westway are current.
Please note, that along with all parental consent forms, we will require that group leaders complete an Attendance Register for every group that attends a climbing session with us.
Both the Attendance Register and Parental Consent forms MUST be handed to your instructor at the start of your session.
If the same children attend several sessions with us, they will not be required to bring along a new parental consent form each time they climb, but their names must be recorded on the Attendance Register so that we can refer to this to check that a parental consent has been received. They will then only be required to bring a new consent form at the start of the next school year.
In the Forms section, you wil find a copy of our Parental Consent Form and Attendance Register as well as a Group Leader’s letter, which will give you further information about what you can expect from you climbing session.
If you have any queries regarding this or anything else that we may be able to assist you with, please do not hesitate to contact Shannon Law, Climbing Operations Manager on 0208 968 2643.
